Joy Organics Announces New CBD Gummy

CBD brand Joy Organics has revealed brand-new THC-free gummy flavors to give consumers new ways to enjoy the hemp compound.

Gummies are quickly becoming one of the most sought-after CBD products, and the brand hopes to meet demand with its new guilt-free products.

Naturally flavored and vegan, the new gummy products still promise to deliver the same great flavor and gooey texture that consumers love.

Joy Organics’ chief marketing officer Gerrid Smith said: “Gummies are popular because they’re easy to carry, easy to consume and not messy. But it can be difficult to find a CBD gummy that isn’t packed with dyes and artificial flavors that also tastes great.”

The new and improved CBD snack will come in both Green Apple and Strawberry Lemonade flavors, containing 10mg of the company’s broad-spectrum CBD oil; these are already on sale online in jars containing 30 gummies each.

The website explains: “At Joy Organics, we strive to create the most natural products possible. Our CBD Gummies include 10mg of CBD each and other clean ingredients like organic tapioca syrup and organic cane sugar. These tasty treats are gluten-free, vegan and, of course, THC-free. In green apple and strawberry lemonade flavors, these gummies are the tastiest CBD gummies around.”

Smith added: “We knew it wasn’t going to be easy to come up with the perfect CBD gummy, which is why we’ve worked directly with health and flavor experts to bring our customers the best. We couldn’t be more excited to present these new gummies to the market.

Joy Organics, a family-established venture, sells a range of broad-spectrum CBD products including tinctures, soft gels, and even pet products, all THC-free and Farm Bill compliant.

The company’s origins stem from CEO Joy Smith’s personal journey with CBD, which started when she was struggling to sleep and looking for natural support.

After purchasing several producers’ CBD items and only seeing positive effects from a small number, she decided to start her own brand was the only way to go. This seemed a natural and easy fit, since co-founder Todd Smith, Joy’s husband, had amassed almost three decades’ experience with a metabolic health company. Both Todd and Joy knew that when taken properly, CBD was said to have a range of benefits and Joy wanted to deliver all these to her consumer base.

In a video surrounding the gummies and extolling the brand’s benefits, Joy said: “I’m really excited about our gummies. (…) We wanted them to be vegan, we didn’t want any corn syrup or artificial flavoring… Our gummies are sweetened with apple juice and agave. We only use eight ingredients; we didn’t want to have any added ingredients.”

She goes on to explain that each gummy actually contains 20mg of CBD –  made up of 10mg CBD isolate and 10mg of the company’s own cannabinoid-rich hemp oil.

The reason this was done, according to Joy, was that sample gummies with 20mg of isolate “simply didn’t taste good; it was too hempy”.

While hemp and CBD oil both derive from the same plant, they serve very different purposes, and Joy added that these gummies can be popped into the user’s purse to be with them all day long without feeling the same as taking medication. And it seems Joy is not the only one who’s enthused about CBD gummies.

In December 2019, Google’s annual trends report revealed ‘CBD Gummies’ to be the third most-searched food item in America for that year, beaten only by ‘Unicorn Cake’ and ‘Romaine Lettuce’, those searches being linked to the E. coli outbreak.

Meanwhile, the term ‘cannabis’ was the fifth most-searched term in Canada, and searches for ‘weed’ in the country multiplied by 8.3 when it became legal on October 17.
